Good Evening! We had a busy weekend considering we didn’t have any plans. Oh, and I gained 20 pounds from chocolate croissants.
Wednesday we took George swimming. Not technically the weekend, but I love this shot of baby G’s eyes.
Friday afternoon George and I celebrated happy hour together.
While shirtless Geordie mowed the lawn. He looks like weird hippy lawn guy, and in that particular instance he smelled the part too.
On the way to dinner at the Japanese restaurant KAWA (OMG the Spicy Tuna roll) I snapped this cute moment of the Georges. Side note, they do this all the time, and George thinks it Is the coolest thing ever.
After dinner we found this cool door downtown. If you look, downtown Augusta is filled with little treasures like this.
And this 🙂
On Saturday morning we woke up bright and early for a jaunt to The Augusta Market, and then for a walk along the river. I had an insanely good chocolate croissant from the Manuel’s Bread stand. I also HIGHLY recommend their Cinnamon Rolls. They’re to die for (or in this instance, gain 5 pounds for).
Here’s a Google image of a croissant I did not eat, because the one I did eat went straight into my belly. That being said, I would eat this lil guy too.
Bath time after the market. This little nugget gets so sweaty!!
Saturday night I made Soba Noodle Salad (Natalie over at Designer Bags and Dirty Diapers posted earlier this week) with some fresh farmers market veggies. You can find the recipe here. (FYI, I used whole wheat spaghetti instead of the Soba Noodles.)
Honestly, I didn’t get a shot because, again, in my belly. However, this lovely shot pretty much sums up how delicious it was; the creaminess from the peanut butter mixed in with the crunchiness from the pepper and edamame was awesome.
And Sunday was filled with Krispy Kreme and hat shopping at Target (kidding but I did want to get this baby fedora for George.) Followed by kickball and a stop at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Los Cabos. Geordie thought George looks like a girl in this picture, but I think he looks unbearably cute!
See the common theme in this weekend now? If you didn’t guess by now, it’s FOOD. And baby.
