Hello Ladies! Today marks two days until we leave for Italy!
While I’d like to say I’m all packed up and emotionally ready, in reality I’ve spent far too much time planning out the what I’m going to wear/where we are going to stay aspects and not enough time on the logistical aspects of the trip. Case in point, Geordie and I can’t speak a lick of Italian, nor can we drive a stick shift (which is pretty much required to rent a car in Italy.) Luckily my dad is going to help Geordie tonight with the latter, and hopefully I’ll have time to learn some basic phrases while we’re traveling!
While I am stressed about those things, I still don’t think it has fully hit me yet that we’re really going. We will be splitting up our time between Florence (for the churches, museums and food) and the other half of our time will be spent in a small wine town in Tuscany named Montalcino that we will use as the basis to explore wine country and some of the smaller medieval villages! Needless to say, the romantic red wine lover in me is extremely excited and ready to just be there.
I wore this Tory Burch tunic dress (rented through Rent The Runway unlimited) out to dinner with my parents and needless to say it was a big hit. In fact, my mom commented that it is one of her favorite dresses I’ve ever worn. Pictures don’t really quite do it justice, but the subtle embroidery is especially dainty and makes the dress really special. I also like the fact that it’s off shoulder, but not so trendy that it can’t be worn for years to come. Also, surprise surprise yes!! I am still wearing these wedges! They are the cutest and comfiest wedges I own and will absolutely be making an appearance in my luggage!
I hope everyone is having a good week so far! Thanks for reading!
