Pink Bow Dress
I typically feel like Valentine’s is kind of overrated and too commercial, but for some reason I’m really excited about it this year. In fact, I haven’t even minded all the pink on my Instagram feed this year, instead I’ve somehow found it refreshing. I’m not necessarily excited for the whole buying chocolates/going out to dinner with a long stemmed rose placed on the table aspect, but because I have two loves to share it with this year. Obviously George won’t really know what’s going on, but it will still be fun to have a day for the three of us to to really put the focus on quality time and just loving on each other. I’m thinking maybe just a nice dinner at home (probably using one of those TASTY recipes from facebook, side note anyone else addicted to those videos??) a nice bottle of champagne ($10.00 dollar nice he he), and some hot tub time.
We also have an opera to attend that weekend, so I’m sure Geordie and I will get a date night out of that with post-show cocktails and whatnot.
Anyways, on to the outfit… I wore this pink bow dress (that I love) to Geordie’s work party last Saturday. The color is even brighter in person, the dress is super flattering, and the cut out back gives a sexy edge to an otherwise girly dress. I decided to pair it with tights, not because it was cold (although it was) but because my legs are super-duper pale right now lol. My fake rockstuds seemed like a no brainer, as they are my favorite pair of shoes to put a jazzy spin on any outfit. I also really like the contrast of the black tights and the gold studs. This pink bow dress is available via rent the Runway for only $30, meaning it would be PERFECT if your Valentines plans are fancier than mine (or hey, even if they involve staying at home like me!)
Rent The Runway also has a ton of other affordable rentals so why not try it out for Valentine ’s Day!? For the price of a dress at Target you could wear a designer dress that will surely impress. BTW, this post is not sponsored I just really really love Rent The Runway.
On another note, I hope everyone has a great weekend! We are flying out tomorrow night (Thursday night) for a wedding in Florida and I’m super stressed about all the last minute packing and things I need to do to get me, Geordie, and George ready to go! I’m also singing at the wedding, which is kind of nerve racking considering I’ve only sung a handful of times publicly since George was born! Anyways, with all that said I’m super excited! the resort area where we’ll be staying looks GORGEOUS, and we have some really fun boating adventures and activities planned.
I hope you have a great weekend!
BTW, I included several gorgeous Valentine’s options in the widget below!
