Friday morning George woke up bright and early for his standards (6:30) so we got dressed and walked to Buona, our favorite little coffee shop. This is becoming our little Friday morning tradition. It’s great because momma gets some exercise, AND daddy gets to sleep in. I snapped this pic of George while I was enjoying my iced latte. Side note, it’s hot as heck at 7am these days (90 degrees or more).
Later that day, I came out of the bathroom to George playing in this… SO funny but not funny if you know what I mean.
I honestly couldn’t tell you what we did Friday night other than make dinner and go to bed early 🙂
This is Geordie demonstrating a good picture idea and simultaneously making baby George cackle.
Stud Muffin (and my other 2 muffins)
Giving Charlie dog some lovin’ since again, hot as crap.
Saturday night we had my grandmother and parents over for dinner. Geordie made some YUMM fried pork chops marinated in a creole sauce with squash, onions, and tomatoes. To die for. I made my new favorite cocktail adapted from Ramshackle Glam. It is absolutely my new signature drink. I used Fresca, tequila, and lime juice. So. Yum.
And lastly, one more of baby sweetness. Geordie had just taken him “back to school shopping” -I say this because my mom did and it really cracked up- and given him a bath.
And on Sunday morning Geordie probably wanted to strangle me because I decided all the things needed to get OFF the counter tops right now please. This of course resulted in the cleaning out of our entire pantry to free up some space. I am not a neat freak at all, but when I decide something needs to be cleaned, it needs to be done yesterday, thank you very much!
All in all, pretty unexciting weekend. But, with a few CRAZY travel weeks coming up, it was nice to have a stay-at-home-and-do-nothing weekend.
