I’m not going to lie, my work style is lacking in many ways. Being that I work on a construction project, jeans, casual tops, and even tennis shoes are often the norm. However, I was pretty inspired last week when I popped into Old Navy to buy George some cute spring clothes (which is a whole other story btw) and ended up finding a ton of things I liked in the new spring arrivals. What I got.. a denim jacket, these daisy pants, and a pair of leather mules that go perfectly with my casual work style.
The pattern of these daisy crop pants immediately caught my eye. I love that they are slightly higher at the ankle so that you can really showcase a cute pair of flats, and the cotton/spandex material hugs in all the right places and is very flattering.
The denim jacket was another exciting find… I’ve been looking at a few denim jackets online that were much more expensive, and was pleased to find that this one hits at a good length, and has a great wash that’s appropriate for work (no acid wash or holes at work for me unfortunately.) I also get a bit of nostalgia when I see denim jackets because I remember constantly sporting them in elementary and middle school… anybody else a Limited Too fan when they were little??
The mules were probably my favorite find of the day… these shoes (less than $25.00) are a beautiful caramel color and look 10x more expensive than they actually are. In fact, they are a pretty good dupe for a similar pair I saw recently online at J.Crew that sold out for almost 5x the price. They are surprisingly comfy with a bit of cushion (I hate when flats are just that, hard and flat) and they are on trend yet classic enough to wear season after season.
I hope everyone had a great Monday! We managed to sit down at the dinner table as a family (for like 5 minutes) which is always a score in my book!
Thanks for following along!
