Casual Transitional Style
Hello loves! We had a pretty chill weekend! Our weekend plans in a nutshell… Errands, blog shoots, Mexican food, ramen, and a fun night out with friends. Last night after dinner at Kawai, we dropped George off at my parents and headed over to our friends new loft apartment for drinks. Then we headed to Hive Growler Bar for a few drinks… I had the cinnamon rimmed margarita and it was awesome. I’m definitely going to try the cinnamon rimmed trick at home next time I make my favorite low cal cocktail (Fresca, tequila, and lime juice if you’re curious!)
Anyways, on to this here casual transitional outfit! If you see me on a consistent basis you know that I live in these piko tops. I’ve accumulated 4 or 5 over the past few years and they still look new. I constantly gravitate towards them because A) they are super soft and comfortable (they are made of some magical bamboo/cotton blend) and B) because they are the perfect basics to pair with scarves, statement necklaces, etc. I also get a ton of compliments when I wear them and I think that’s because the soft fabric just falls in a really flattering way. I linked to them above (Amazon retailer) but if you live in Augusta, they can be found at some of the boutiques like Swank, and I believe Vignettes carries a similar alternative as well.
My leather leggings are the perfect way to take a basic casual outfit and make it trendy (side note, Geordie hates that word lol, but I can’t think of a better word to describe what I mean.) I wore this exact outfit to work last week except I wore flat black booties instead of the sandals. If your work environment is more formal than mine, you might not be able to get away with these, but they look equally cute on the weekends with sweaters and tennis shoes (I have a similar look coming to the blog this week so stay tuned!) or dressed up for dinner like I am here.
I paired it with my lace up sandals since the weather here is in that transitional stage where it’s winter in the morning and spring in the afternoon. I’ve worn them in several other posts, and seriously they are the cutest shoes I own right now. They are also comfy enough to wear around town for errands if you are meeting up with friends for drinks after and want to be ready to go.
I hope everyone has a lovely Monday! Today begins day one of my Jamaica diet so hopefully I’ll stay strong!
