Black and White
I often have visions of grandeur in regards to how much I can accomplish on the weekends, and then reality sets in and come Sunday I’m racing to prep blog photos for the week. On Sunday, after what seemed like an all day cooking marathon (self induced so no complaints here) I finally decided to bite the bullet. After a “quick” bath (yes, I love baths) and a hasty application of makeup, which side note anything hasty is actually a really bad idea when bright red lipstick is involved, we raced to beat the setting sun. In search of a white wall that wasn’t completely shaded, we found a rather blank industrial concrete wall flooded with a warm bath of sun that was perfect for our needs.
A few years ago you would never catch me in one of these full midi skirts but now I own three. I love the versatility of them… You can wear them dressed up for church with a pretty blouse, dressed down for a brunch or shower with a cute t-shirt, or glammed up for a night out with fun heels and lace like I did here. This black lace crop top (also seen in this post ) was something I purchased on a whim a few months ago. It’s sadly sold out (seriously Forever 21 stuff sells out in like 5 minutes!) but I linked to some similar options above. The white skirt, also from Forever 21, is so fun and feminine and will surely be a weekend staple for me all year long. I decided to pair it with all black accessories (like these Prada sunnies, and this quilted black bag) for a chic black and white look.
