18 Week Bump Update!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared anything about my pregnancy, so I thought I’d share an 18 week bump update!
The biggest change since the last update is definitely feeling the baby move. I honestly can’t tell you how excited I get every time I feel he/she move! Even though I experienced this with George, I feel like I’m experiencing it all for the first time again.
18 week bump update!
HOW FAR ALONG:
About 10 pounds. (oops!) Luckily I’ve seen an increase in energy in the past few weeks, and have been walking for 30 mins to an hour most days of the week, so maybe this will slow down?? I’ve also been eating a bit healthier because I’m finally able to stomach something other than carbs lol! I said something to the same effect in the last post, but my metabolism seems to be nonexistent when I’m pregnant. I try not to stress too much about this, (although a bit of stress is good) because then I’m not going buck-wild with the pasta and desserts!
Still going strong with the headaches and the neck pain (although the neck pain is likely unrelated to pregnancy.) I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t have me down… Some days are a struggle; I’m just ready to feel better. The biggest pain (no pun intended) is that there is very little you can take pain-related during pregnancy other than tylenol (which doesn’t seem to do much.)
Just reading that I realize how dramatic I sound, but I just want to be honest. However, I know that all the pain is worth bringing a sweet babe into this world! Also, George and Geordie definitely help to make me feel better… George by making me laugh, giving me wet kisses; and Geordie by giving me neck and head rubs on demand. Also, my mom has been a saint to me in every way. If you know her, you know exactly what I’m talking about. 🙂
Not a huge fan of chicken right now, unless its of the fried variety or disguised in soup. Other than that, I can’t really think of any strong aversions at this point.
We find out the gender on November 4th, and to be honest, time is going by so quickly I’m not feeling nearly as impatient as I was earlier in the month.
finally really at the point where I will be content with whatever we have. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t secretly hoping for a girl when I found out I was pregnant, but lately the thought of George with a little brother has been present on my mind. Don’t get me wrong, I would still be over the moon with a girl… The thought of Geordie with a baby girl makes me enormously happy as well. One time at a child’s birthday party he fixed a little girl’s hair bow and it made my heart melt. SO SWEET.
With all that said,we just want a happy healthy baby!
Ramen noodles! I know that’s a terrible craving to have, since they are LOADED with sodium and have essentially no nutrients. However, many nights I get home and want nothing more dinner than a bowl of ramen. Luckily I have Geordie here to bluntly dissuade me most of the time! We’ve also been meal planning lately which helps me stick to a somewhat healthier option most of the time.
